The connection between the office information and the one on site is fragmented, as complex construction data and design models are difficult and time-consuming to access. This results in manual tasks, errors, and time loss, which ultimately leads to major financial losses.
While visiting construction firms in Northeastern U.S. to gather data on the challenges that contractors face during the construction phase, we found out that this disconnection is specially detrimental when conducting quality checks. From there, we identified four key problem areas:

We saw that there was an opportunity to link the relevant data of an area to its physical space and to a geopositioned construction model. This would streamline on-site checks, as well as improve stakeholder communication within and outside the construction site.
